Contacting the Admission Office for the first time?
If you are contacting us for the first time, please begin the process by either completing the Inquiry Form >, or by calling our Admission Office at 1.410.472.4800. Once we receive your inquiry, someone from the Admission Office will personally contact you. All application instructions, and necessary application forms are available on-line.
The following items are necessary to complete an application for admission to Oldfields School:
Application
Transcript
Please download, sign and deliver the school recommendation form to the principal, head of school, or guidance counselor at the applicant's present school.
The sending school should then return this form along with a transcript, standardized testing, and any descriptions of school sectioning and grading policies.
Transcripts should arrive no earlier than December or January, so that they may reflect first semester work.
Interview
If distance or other circumstances make it a hardship for your family to visit campus, a Skype interview can be substituted for the campus interview.
We also have an alumnae/parent network who interview for us in their respective cities and towns. If an off campus interview is requested, we will contact the alumnae/parent representative in your area to assist us with interviewing you.
If you are able to visit campus, please contact the Admission Office to arrange a campus visit. A campus visit will help you decide if Oldfields is the school for you. A campus visit and interview may be scheduled weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. throughout the academic year. This visit usually takes two to three hours and consists of a tour with a current student and a personal interview with a staff member.
To schedule an interview please contact the Admission Office at 1.410.472.4800 or via email.
Teacher Recommendations
Recommendation forms must be downloaded and completed by a current English teacher and a current math teacher.
I-20 / Visa Process
Once a student has been accepted at Oldfields School, she has three weeks to return her contract and deposit for enrollment.
For International Applicants, Oldfields requires the contract, a copy of the student’s passport, documentation of bank statements indicating the account’s current balance as well as monthly deposits dating back six months, and the deposit before an I-20 can be issued.
Once all of the documents are provided, Oldfields will send the I-20 directly to the family so they may begin the Visa process. It is the responsibility of the student and her family to make an appointment for, and secure, the student visa.
