An Oldfields community, grateful for each other and our School, gathered to share a traditional Thanksgiving dinner before taking exams and heading off on break.
Turkey with stuffing and hot gravy, ham, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole were all part of the festive meal. Apple, pumpkin, and sweet potato pies, as well as fruit with freshly whipped cream, were served for dessert.
Lively conversation and second helpings were followed by an Oldfields tradition. The members of the junior class stand and, one by one, each states something for which she is thankful. Parents, friends, advisors, and Oldfields School topped this year's list.
While we will visit loved ones for the holiday, we are thankful for the feeling of family we share, on a daily basis, at Oldfields School.
